Swotnote ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on purchases made through swotnote.com (the "Service"). By making a purchase, you agree to the terms of this policy.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy with any product for any reason, you may request a refund within 30 days of the original purchase date. Refund requests after download are also accepted and reviewed case-by-case — see Section 3 below for details.
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to the following products and services offered through Swotnote:
- Library materials (downloadable digital study materials)
2. UK/EEA Right of Cancellation — Digital Content Waiver
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3134), you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel online purchases. However, by clicking "Download" or otherwise accessing digital content after purchase, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose your statutory right to cancel for that item. This waiver applies only once you have actively initiated a download. EEA residents: equivalent rights apply under Directive 2011/83/EU. Beyond your statutory rights, we voluntarily review post-download refund requests case-by-case under Section 3, and consumer guarantees (defects, mismatch with description) apply regardless.
3. Library Materials Refunds
Refund requests for library materials are accepted within 30 days of purchase and reviewed case-by-case:
- Before download: Full refund available within 30 days of purchase.
- After download: Refund requests are still accepted within the 30-day window if you have a legitimate reason — for example, the content does not match its description, the file is corrupted, or you purchased it by mistake. Each request is reviewed by our team, and approval is at our discretion. Routine "changed my mind" refunds after download may be denied.
- Duplicate purchases: If you accidentally purchase the same material twice, we will refund the duplicate purchase minus a 10% processing fee.
- Defective or incorrect content: If the material you received is materially different from its description, corrupted, or otherwise defective, you are eligible for a full refund regardless of download status.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- The 30-day refund window has passed.
- You were unable to use the Service due to your own actions or negligence (e.g., forgetting login credentials, not meeting system requirements).
- You are dissatisfied with the difficulty level or style of the content (content descriptions and previews are available before purchase).
- The subscription period has fully elapsed.
- Promotional or discounted purchases may have separate refund terms as stated at the time of the promotion.
5. Abuse Prevention
- It is your responsibility to check whether you already own a material before purchasing.
- Repeated duplicate purchases (3 or more of the same material within 30 days) may be considered system abuse.
- If abuse is detected, we reserve the right to deny refund requests, restrict your access to the library, or suspend your account.
6. How to Request a Refund
- Go to My Account > Order History, select the order, and click "Request Refund." Alternatively, contact us at contact@solvaaa.com.
- We will review your request and notify you of the refund decision within 5 business days.
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
- If refund to the original payment method is not possible, we will work with you to arrange an alternative refund method.
7. Chargebacks
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We encourage you to contact us to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. If you have a billing dispute, you may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly. Chargebacks initiated without first attempting to resolve the issue with us or Lemon Squeezy may result in suspension of your account.
8. Consumer Protection
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or override your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Where applicable law provides greater refund rights, those rights will prevail.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Purchases made before a policy change will be subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
